A recent survey conducted by Cisco UK and Ireland has indicated that the business sentiment among SMEs in the UK has turned positive, with several small firms expecting to witness major improvements in their business in 2010.
After surviving the adverse effects of the global credit crunch and recessionary pressures, nearly 63% of the SME firms in the UK are hopeful that business conditions would become better in 2010. About 77% of the 1,000 companies surveyed are optimistic about witnessing an economic upturn within this year.
Cisco's Customer Kings 2010 report also revealed that several small businesses in the UK are undertaking efforts to realign their business as per the changing economic scenario, with more than 50% of the UK firms reporting to have undertaken steps that will help them in making their business customer-centric in order to enable them in retaining their clients.
However, 43% of the firms are likely to face the risk of losing their clients to rival businesses as they have not undertaken adequate measures to woo their customers.
